MANCOSA, a DHET registered and CHE accredited private higher education distance education provider, offering undergraduate and postgraduate Education qualifications, has the following vacancy available: Admissions and Selections Academic - Durban.Core PurposeThe Admissions and Selections Academic ensures that the main objectives of the Admissions Department are met, which is to provide clear guidelines and regulations as prescribed by the regulatory bodies (CHE, DHET and SAQA) for the recruitment, admission and selection of prospective students, both nationally and internationally, and to advance the strategic objectives of MANCOSA.Core FunctionsReceiving application queries from all regions, including Honoris Education Network and SADC regions, resolving queries and providing responses.Ensuring that assigned applications are reviewed as per the Admissions and Selections SOP, Checklist and Policy.Ensuring that Management Information System applications are reviewed as per the Admissions and Selections SOP, Checklist and Policy.Reviewing applications for candidates who are eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), alternate programmes and the awarding of credit exemptions.Conducting training on the rules and procedures related to Admissions and Selections.Developing specific and quality PPT presentations for training.Fulfilling any other reasonable request from Management.QualificationsA Master's degree (or studying towards a Master's degree).ExperienceMinimum 2 years of work experience in an Academic, deadline driven and process orientated role.Skills and CompetenciesConsulting and engaging with appropriate stakeholders.Statistical proficiency.Excellent communication and writing skills.Understanding regulatory body requirements (e.g. SAQA, DHET and CHE) within the Higher Education landscape.Advanced research skills.Academic and curriculum knowledge.Proficient in MS Office.Planning, organising and negotiating skills.
