Admission Consultant - Acute Rehab Facility

Key Responsibilities will include: (not limited to)Assessment of patients at hospitals or at homeArranging and coordinating admissions to the rehabilitation unitMarketing of the rehabilitation unit within the area Maintain and grow the referral and stakeholder databaseCase management and liaison with funders/medical schemesCommunication with internal and external stakeholders Effective communication with rehabilitation team, patients and their family membersFinancial and credit risk management of rehabilitation accountsMaintain and grow the referral and stakeholder databaseEducation and skills:Qualified Registered Nurse OR Physiotherapist OR Occupational TherapistRegistered with SANC or HPCSAClinical experience in neurology, neurosurgery or rehabilitation would be an advantageAbility to build good relationships with specialists and hospitals to market the facilityExperience in clinical case management and knowledge of ICD10/Cpt coding would be advantageInherent job requirements:Valid drivers license and own car (essential), due to travelling between facilitiesComputer proficientKnowledge of account managementKnowledge of private hospital environment, medical aids and funders
