In a retail environment, an Operational Intelligence Administrator using SAP ERP and SAP Analysis Office through Microsoft Excel to support the operations team is focused on delivering the data insights that help improve efficiency, drive sales, and optimize inventory management. Accuracy is key.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Reporting & Analysis: Creating, maintaining, and updating reports in SAP Analysis Office that focus on key operational metrics, such as sales performance, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
Real-Time Operational Monitoring: Creating/Maintaining dashboards in SAP Analysis Office/Excel to provide the operations team with real-time data on critical KPIs, allowing them to quickly identify and respond to issues such as low/no stock, delayed deliveries, or store performance gaps.
Customized Reporting for Operations: Working closely with the operations team to understand their needs and tailoring reports to highlight relevant data, such as stock issues, turnover, sales opportunities/gaps, and other ad-hoc investigations.
Forecasting & Inventory Optimization: Using SAP Analysis Office to support forecasting efforts, helping the operations team make informed decisions around inventory ordering, allocation, and restocking based on historical sales and current trends.
Analyzing and System Maintenance: Analyzing data and reports from SAP ERP and SAP AO to highlight any master data issues within the system and escalate to the relevant stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Minimum Experience:
2 - 3 years' experience in a systems/analytical environment preferably within FMCG.
Key Skills:
SAP ERP, Analysis Office, and MS Excel Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Excel is key. SAP ERP and use of SAP Analysis Office is a huge advantage for creating complex, actionable reports.
Retail Operations Understanding: Deep knowledge of retail KPIs and operational processes, including turnover, sales analysis, and inventory management.
Data Interpretation & Communication: Ability to interpret data and provide clear, concise reports and insights to the operations team, both visually and in written formats.
Analytical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Ability to identify trends and issues quickly, supporting the operations team in making real-time decisions to improve efficiency and performance.
