Frontline Applicant Tracking - Sweetwater County School District #1Job Title: Human Resource GeneralistLocation: District Central Administration BuildingDepartment: Human ResourcesReports To: Director of Human ResourcesTerms of Employment:Months Per Year: 12 monthsSalary Classification: HR Generalist Salary Schedule - ExemptNature and Scope of Job:The job of Human Resource Generalist provides general support to the delivery of human resource (HR) services and practices; providing information to employees regarding policies, benefits, and assisting in ensuring that human resource functions conform to all applicable regulatory requirements.Essential Functions:Monitors the substitute management system on a daily basis for accuracy and accountability, and arranges training for substitute teachers.Assists with coordination of the district's benefits, worker's compensation claims, and unemployment; interpreting and applying federal, state, and local policies, procedures, laws and regulations to ensure maximum benefits for employees.Assists in ensuring accuracy of information and compliance within established district and government guidelines.Will oversee the District's Employee Data System and hard copy filing systems.Provides information to employees regarding policies, regulations and contract language.Is the Title IX Coordinator and assists with all Title IX requirements and roles.Maintains confidentiality of student and personnel information and records at all times.Coordinates employment process (e.g. advertising, processing applications, preparing screening criteria, administering tests, scheduling interviews, enrolling new employees, etc.).Assists certified staff in acquiring their Professional Teaching Standards Board Teaching Certificate.Facilitates effective communication and collaboration with administrators, department heads, or team leaders.Models, maintains and emphasizes established District policies.Monitors and assumes responsibility of the substitute management system in days or hours worked for accuracy and accountability of District substitutes.Works closely with the payroll department to verify wages and all other aspects of personnel.Coordinates employee leave benefits (e.g. FMLA, Short-term and Long-term Disability, Sick Bank, and Worker's Compensation programs, unemployment reporting, etc.).Responds to inquiries from employees and/or external parties for the purpose of resolving issues.Participates in meetings that involve a range of human resources issues.Job Qualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Mental Ability:Possess a broad knowledge of district, state, and federal policies.Possess technological and computer skills to present and organize data.Knowledge of Microsoft Office.Knowledge of the ALIO System.Possess group dynamic and interpersonal skills.Possess the ability to handle conflict resolution and de-escalate various situations.Bachelor's degree in job related area.Preferred candidate has work experience in the Human Resources field.Equipment Used:Promethean Board, Telephone, ProjectorPhysical Demands:Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Ability to work within necessary time and legal constraints.Ability to work at a computer monitor for at least part of each day without fatigue or discomfort.
