An outstanding client of ours is seeking a dynamic Administrative Specialist with expertise in the mining or heavy industry sector for their Rivonia, Sandton branch.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative assistance, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments for senior management and other staff.Document Management: Maintain accurate records and files, manage the flow of documents, and ensure that all required documentation is properly stored and easily accessible.Correspondence: Handle internal and external communications, including drafting emails, letters, and reports. Ensure timely and professional responses to all inquiries.Travel Coordination: Arrange travel plans, accommodations, and itineraries for staff, especially for site visits and remote locations within South Africa.Office Management: Oversee office supplies inventory, order necessary supplies, and liaise with vendors to ensure the smooth running of office operations.Compliance Support: Assist in maintaining compliance with local regulations, including the preparation and submission of regulatory documents and reports specific to the mining industry.Event Planning: Organize company events, meetings, and training sessions, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently.Safety Documentation: Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed, particularly in the preparation and maintenance of safety-related documentation.Liaison: Act as a point of contact between different departments, facilitating communication and coordination to support overall company objectives.Qualifications and Skills: Non-NegotiableEducation: A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Office Management, Mining or a related field is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sectors.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with office management software.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with South African mining regulations and industry standards is a plus.Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and handle pressure with a proactive approach.Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when required.BenefitsCompetitive salary and benefits package (Medical insurance).Opportunities for professional growth and development.A supportive and inclusive work environment.Desired SkillsAdministrationMiningHeavy SectorDesired Work Experience2 to 5 yearsDesired Qualification LevelDegreeAbout The EmployerA leading global mining company headquartered in China specializes in the mining, smelting, processing, and trading of various critical metals, including molybdenum, tungsten, copper, cobalt, and niobium.
