DSD 98/2024 R1DetailsClosing Date: 2025/01/27Reference Number: WCG241129-1Tracking Number: DSD 98/2024 R1Job Title: Administrative Officer: Administrative Support (Facility Management)Department: Social DevelopmentSalary level: 8Enquiries: Ms M Jonkerman at (021) 826 6040Job Type: PermanentLocation: Cape Town - CBD, Western Cape, South AfricaJob Purpose: The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to render administrative support services to the component.Minimum Requirements:An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-degree or higher qualification); A minimum of 1 year relevant experience.Key Performance Areas:Provide effective office administration and management support services to the Component.Handle general enquiries pertaining to the functioning of the component and manage component correspondence.Maintain and control leave and asset register for the component.Provide budget support to the component: Assist in compiling the budget expenditure for the directorate and complete the IYM.Maintain and assist with implementation of the component's monitoring and evaluation system: Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of networks and service providers.Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of government systems, policies, and the Constitution, legal and institutional arrangements governing the SA public sector.
Skills needed: Problem-solving and decision-making; Creative thinking; Written and verbal communication; Planning and organizing; Analytical and systems thinking; Conceptual and formulation; Computer literacy.Remuneration: R 376 413 per annum (Salary level 8)Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.)
