About the job Administrative Officer - AccountingDATE OF DISTRIBUTION: 08.10.2024CLOSING DATE: 15.10.2024DEPARTMENT: FinancePURPOSE OF THE JOB: To monitor, execute and control General and Payroll Accounting related activities and administration as per company policies and procedures for all South African companies in the Implats Group.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Grade 12/NQF level 4/STD10 is essential.National Diploma in Financial Accounting is desirable.At least 1-3 years working experience in a financial or payroll environment. Preferably as a Senior Clerk or Administrative Officer.Basic payroll system knowledge.Demonstrate and apply an understanding of statutory legislation and requirements relating to payroll administration.SAP knowledge.Understanding of VAT Legislation.Understanding and acceptance of Impala's code of conduct, policies and procedures is essential.COMPETENCIES:Must have good communication and leadership skills.Must be able to operate computer systems (MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP ERP).Must have rigid work ethics and analytical abilities.Must be deadline-driven & ability to work under pressure.Must be willing to work overtime during the business plan.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:Accurate and timeous processing of EFT runs on the Host-to-Host System and related reporting.Accurate and timeous processing of online banking payments and related reporting.Processing 3rd party payment and deferred pay.Upload and processing of payroll deduction.Preparing or posting of manual and upload journals, sundry invoices, debit notes and credit notes.Processing of furniture removals contracts.Ensure accurate record keeping of documents.Preparing month-end payroll-related payments and schedules.Prepare monthly reconciliations, including general ledger, banking, accounts receivable and payroll related vendor reconciliation.Compiling of quarterly stator information relating to National Credit Act.Consolidating of payroll related information for financial year-end reporting.
