Medical Aid rate based on principal member only): To be confirmedAdvert Closing Date: 20/10/2024Job Purpose: Provide administrative support mainly for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) but also for the Curriculum Development Unit (CDU) in the Fundani Centre of Higher Education (CHED).Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:MatricAt least three years relevant working experienceKnowledge of Microsoft suite, ITS and student registration process at CPUTRecommended: ND in Office Administration and Technology (OMT) or equivalent qualification; Knowledge of the RPL Process will be an advantage.Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities:RPL Advising: Liaison with the RPL applicants via email, phone and walk-ins. Provide correct information and assistance before, during and after the RPL process including giving feedback.Support the academic staff with the RPL applications, during the RPL process.Cooperation with Admissions and Registration Centre (ARC): Liaise regularly with ARC to ensure seamless transition of applications from the RPL system to the ITS system. Interaction with Faculties and the Assessment and Graduation Centre (AGC) to ensure correctness of RPL approvals and record keeping.Database upkeep and Administration: Update the RPL system on a regular basis and ensure accuracy of data, administration pertaining to the RPL process, as well as CDU and the UCDG, draw-up agendas and keep minutes of meetings held within CDU and RPL.Inter-departmental liaison: Direct liaison with academic departments, faculties, Marketing, and other relevant departments pertaining to the RPL process.Support research work done within the RPL Unit, if required.People skills: Incumbent should be able to interact with staff and the public in a friendly and confident manner.Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.Ability to communicate clearly and have good writing skills.Good organizing skills.Initiative and problem solving.Minute Taking Skills.General Information:Closing Date: 27 October 2024Enquiries: ******: PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SYSTEM DOES NOT ALLOW APPLICANTS TO UPLOAD CVs.
