Job Purpose: To provide students with information about Financial Aid; referral of students to Financial Aid Officers as required; issuing, collection, and processing of various application forms for SETA's, Bursaries, and NSFAS; check student's funding statuses on NSFAS portal; overall administration of enquiry desk.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Matric/Senior CertificateTwo (2) years' experience in the administration of Financial AidKnowledge of Financial Aid Policies and ProceduresKnowledge of ITSRequired to work overtime during peak times or as and when requiredRecommendation: A relevant National Diploma (3-year qualification) in a Business related fieldKey Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities: Assisting students with completing learner agreements, application forms, appeals forms.Create a master-list and capture on the system and keep record of all documents received and accurately file for audit purposes.Confirming validity and integrity of documents.Extracting data, compiling, and processing claims.Participate in orientation and open day sessions.Assist with explaining the student fee account.Provide support to the FAOs and any other requests from Senior FAO and the Manager.General administrative duties which include maintaining the filing system and tasks related to the operations of the office.Liaise with students, parents, and other stakeholders.Performing ad hoc duties assigned by the line manager.Good communication skills (Verbal and written).Good interpersonal skills.Computer Literacy (Outlook, MS Excel & Word and ITS).Ability to work under pressure with strict adherence to deadlines.Time management.Contribution to team success.Initiating action.Student client focus.Accuracy.Ability to manage multiple tasks.General Information: Closing date: 03 November 2024
