An opportunity has become available for an Admin Assistant within our Outdoor Equipment Department.
The key role of the Admin Assistant is to assist Buyers and Planners with day-to-day product and planning administration.
Key Responsibilities include: Order Management:Loading and amending of ordersSending orders to suppliersUpdate buying administrative documentationMaintaining and updating excel sheetsAdding, maintaining and updating product details on various systemsSample Management:Manage the sending and receiving of parcels to suppliersManage the sample room; ensure samples are housed in an organised mannerManage any stock between Head Office and Distribution centreManage the Buyers warehouse stock-takeSample Sale Preparation:Assist in prepping samples for sample saleSending of leftover samples to outlet stores and charity after sample salePull necessary reports to manage sample movement for sample saleMark-downs and Price Adjustments:Action mark-downs and price adjustments as advised by planning teamForward markdowns and price adjustments communications to storesBar-code Approval Process:Approve bar-codes received electronically (layout and information)Test and approve bar-codes sent from suppliers and send communication to suppliersFiling System Management:Manage and maintain clear and concise filing systems in the merchandise departmentWork Experience required: 2 years retail experience requiredAdministrative experience requiredFormal Qualifications required: Grade 12 / MatricJob Related Knowledge: Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Job Related Skills: Computer skillsVerbal and written communicationProblem-solving skillsTime management skillsStrong administrative skillsKey Competencies: Self-leadershipTeam collaboration and passionHigh energy and driveProven planning and time management skillsProactivityPlease note: The Cape Union Mart Group is committed to transformation.
