The Academy has evolved around four programmes, a Teacher Intern Programme; a Saturday School from Grades 9 to 12; a Teacher Development Programme; and Thandulwazi Scholarships to attend St Stithians. Thandulwazi Maths & Science Academy is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and hands-on Admin Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, a creative mind, and a strong administrative background. The role requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, where you'll not only assist with administrative tasks but also play an active role in the Academy's operations.The requirements for this position are:At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a front-office or administrative rolePrevious experience in a similar position preferredExcellent command of English (verbal and written communication) is essentialProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong planning, organizing, and administrative skills with keen attention to detailAbility to prioritise tasks and work independentlyHigh level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive informationAbility to maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAvailability for ad hoc requests that may require working after normal office hoursFlexibility to meet the Academy's changing needs and take decisive actionAwareness of the nature of the school and willingness to commit to its all-round ethos, co-curricular activities and pastoral approachWillingness to engage in the broader life of the Academy and support extracurricular activitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Perform required administrative activities for the school's programmesAssist in drafting reports, communications, and correspondenceHandle confidential information with the utmost discretionInteract with parents, staff, and the broader community with respect, diplomacy, and tactFoster collaboration between Thandulwazi, other campus departments, and associated schoolsTo apply please click on the following link before the closing date of 17 December 2024Applications received via email will not be considered.
