Actuary

Become a key player in our client's Life team in Cape Town. We're seeking a nearly or newly qualified Actuary to analyze valuation results, offer business insights, and present findings to senior leadership. This role provides a unique mix of technical actuarial tasks and commercial exposure.Key Functions and Responsibilities:Valuation Analysis: Review and consolidate Embedded Value (EV) results, creating detailed reports.Financial Reporting: Evaluate and communicate financial performance, including profit margins and new business flows.Documentation: Maintain valuation basis reports, ensuring accurate monthly pricing.Cash Flow & Sensitivity: Manage monthly cash flows and EV sensitivities, assessing the value of new business.Profit Reporting: Prepare and refine Retail Affluent profit reports.Auditor Interaction: Provide essential data to internal and external auditors.IFRS17 Reporting: Implement and interpret IFRS17 reporting processes.Ad-hoc Tasks: Generate management reports and undertake various investigations.Requirements:Nearly qualified or recently qualified Actuary with a BSc in Actuarial Science or similar.3-5 years of proven experience in actuarial reporting.Expertise in actuarial reporting, with a strong command of IFRS, EV, VNB, and SAM frameworks.
