Actuarial Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:Solution Development: Design and maintain protection products (e.g., life, disability, funeral, critical illness) for individuals and groups.Market Analysis: Research market trends and identify opportunities for new products or enhancements to existing offerings.Financial Modeling: Perform actuarial and financial modeling to evaluate the viability and profitability of solutions.Client Engagement: Utilize behavioral and predictive modeling to enhance client retention and satisfaction strategies.Assumption Management: Set, monitor, and review key actuarial assumptions to ensure accuracy and reliability.Collaboration: Partner with technical and business stakeholders to source and analyze data for informed decision-making.Data Insights: Gather, interpret, and present data findings to support operational and strategic initiatives.Proactive Contribution: Identify areas for improvement and make analytical recommendations to enhance business performance.Qualifications:Education:Degree in Actuarial Science (Honours degree preferred).Completion of ASSA A100 and A200 series exams (Foundation and Intermediate Technical levels).Experience:Minimum of 2 years in actuarial roles, preferably within the financial services or insurance sectors.Experience in long-term insurance product pricing and actuarial modeling (preferred).
