Position Summary:
The Activity Manager is responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of a high-quality activity programme for students. This includes training, inspiring, and leading the Activity Leaders to ensure the delivery of exceptional experiences. Additionally, the Activity Manager oversees the safe and efficient coordination of logistics for off-site excursions.

Key Responsibilities: Promote and safeguard the welfare of all students under your care and those you interact with.Inspire, manage, and lead a team committed to students' development and welfare.Maintain the highest standards of Health & Safety, safeguarding, and HR practices within the Centre.Ensure the activity programme operates within pre-determined budgets and take responsibility for the timely and accurate submission of all administration.Maximise student and group leader satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds expectations. Specific duties include: Review numbers of students and staff for activities, updating coach splits after receiving the coach bookings from Head Office.Prepare and update programmes as changes are requested.Keep record of activities and subsequent changes, ensuring these are made available to Head Office.Promote optional activities, manage optional trip costings, sales and advertising.Assist in the completion ofweekly and daily working rotas for Activity staff with the rest of the management team.Hold regular meetings with Group Leaders (including the Group Leader induction process), with management and staff.Induct and train Activity staff in Best Practices that facilitates the high-quality delivery of all activities, extending to their ongoing training, pre-tripbriefings, performance observations and appraisals.Work with the Welfare Managerto ensure risk assessments are comprehensive and control measures are being implemented by frontline staff on activities.Assist with student arrival and departures at Centre as needed and requested bythe Centre Manager.Support other managers and carry out other operational/campusduties as assigned or requested by the Centre Manager. Organisational Compliance: The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company's Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.
Employees are required to comply fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety, including implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.
Education Required: Degree-level education or equivalent (or currently pursuing).Valid First Aid Certificate (desirable).Safeguarding Level 1 and 2 (desirable – if not in possession, Embassy Summer will provide the necessary courses upon successful selection). Experience Required: Proven experience in roles involvinglogistics, organization, or travel.Proficiency in IT systems, including Outlook and MS Office (especially Excel).Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively. Experience Desired: Previous experience working with juniors.Experience managing a summer school environment.Knowledge of Malta. Personal Attributes: Exceptional leadership and motivational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Strong organizational and planning skills.Ability to solve complex problems and manage challenging situations.Ability to workunder pressure, multi-tasking, with the ability to prioritize and meet tightdeadlines.Uphold appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.Positive attitude toward maintaining authority and discipline.High attention to detail.Fluent in written and spoken English (knowledge of any other languages is considered advantageous). Working Week: 6 days outof 7 (1 day off per week).Maximum weekly hours will be detailed in the Offer Letter.All management roles are residential. Remuneration: Accommodation and full board provided in addition to a competitive weekly salary,based on the size of the centre and experience.This will be discussed at the time of the interview.
Accommodation is provided from the night before your first working day until the night of your last working day.
Embassy Summerdoes not cover costs for flight tickets and airport transfer to/from the accommodation.
