Overview Beckett Springs, a leading provider of behavioral health services, seeks a dedicated and compassionate Activities Therapist to join our team.
As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing individualized plans of care that promote patient engagement, motivation, and overall well-being.
Our Activity Therapy program is designed to address the unique needs of each patient, incorporating a range of evidence-based interventions and activities that foster socialization, skill-building, and emotional regulation.
As an Activities Therapist , you will work collaboratively with nursing staff, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized plans of care that address patient-specific needs and goals.
Contribute to treatment planning and provide feedback to nursing and program staff to ensure effective therapeutic interventions.
Provide direction and supervision to nursing staff regarding activity-related groups and interventions.
Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to the development of patient-centered care plans.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Recreational, Music, or Art Therapy, or a related field.
Licensure or certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or Music Therapist Board Certified (MT-BC).
CPR and CPI certification within 30 days of employment.
Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, and psychiatric patients preferred.
