Requirements: Matric certificate or equivalent Relevant REQV 13 Qualification in Mechanical Engineering and related field Advanced Diploma in Technical Vocational Training or equivalent teaching qualification Valid SACE registration (not provisional registration) Minimum of three (3) years lecturing experience at a TVET college Qualification as Assessor and Moderator will be an added advantage Valid drivers' license Computer literacy (incl. Ms Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook) Knowledge of examination and assessment policies Knowledge of the CAP and Coltech systems will be an added advantage Strategic project, financial and time management skills Leadership and management skills, good communication skills and interpersonal skills, passion for learning and teaching as well as good report writing, good record keeping and administrative skills Ability to plan ahead and apply good time management Problem solving Organization skills to ensure effective teaching and learning Be able to make decisions on operational matters and implement them.
Duties: Supervise lecturers at the campus and manage their performance in terms of IQMS Facilitate institutional accreditation Ensure that workshops meets occupational and health standards and is in line with commercial standards Train, induct and orient the students and lecturers on workshop practices Coordinate assessment and moderation in the campus Provide guidance and academic support to students and lecturers within the relevant programme Develop strategies to enhance student performance and good results Manage and monitor student attendance Conduct classroom visits Manage and supervise assessment and examination process in the section including timeous marking and moderation of question papers, preparation of ISAT, ICASS and PAT activities Facilitate subject allocation and timetabling for on-site and off-site teaching and learning, including participation of lecturers and students on the LMS Maintain a comprehensive and up to date record of staff Ensure PoA's and PoE's are done timeously and moderated accordingly Manage and facilitate student work based experience and lecturer workplace integrated learning Enhance administration efficiency within the campus and college Be a member of campus management team and examination committee Be a member of the campus Health and Safety committee Assist with daily running and administration of the campus Perform other duties as delegated or prescribed by the applicable policies and/or legislation.
