POSITION PROFILE:
Oversee central debtors' controllers with overall responsibility for:
Billing parent accounts (fees, ad-hoc, discounts, credit notes)
Management of AR business communication regarding parent statements and letters
Management of Debit order processing & cash receipting
Management of Debt collection line with the arrears management policy
Ensuring all parent queries are addressed timeously and adequately in line with SLA
Management of the credit check process on new parent accounts
Maintain relationship with Head of schools and ensure they are appropriately supported re parent accounts (billing queries, arrears etc.)
Enrolments and billing reconciliation checks to validate completeness of revenue
Addressing all escalation queries from parents
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Ensuring SLAs met on parent queries
Debtors' collections effectively managed to ensure debtor's balance is within an appropriate level throughout the year
Responsibility of the following GL accounts:
Income statement
Tuition
Discounts
Other income
Balance sheet
Debtors control accounts
Unallocated receipts
Subledger responsibility
Debtors age analysis
Billing to enrolment recon
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
At least 5 years' experience within an AR division, ideally experience in a school/tertiary environment and/or customer experience
Ideally relevant Accounting/Business degree/diploma
Job and organisational knowledge
Knowledge of the Accounting Package
Computer literacy (MS Excel proficient)
Strong financial skills
Attention to detail
