About the job Accounts Payable Team LeaderMinimum requirements:Bcom Degree in Finance or AP would be advantageousMinimum 5 years experience within FMCG environmentExperience with dealing with large FMCG suppliers advantageousKnowledge of a fully integrated creditors systemPrevious team leadership experience would be advantageousSkills and competencies:Advanced Excel knowledgeStrong customer/client service orientationFinancial skillsManaging peopleProblem solving and analysisRevenue managementAnalytical skillsBeing able to work well in a teamSAP knowledge/ MSD will be advantageousAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with management and across all levels of associates and with external customersStrong quantitative skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong planning and organizational skillsResponsibilities:Liaise with Suppliers and Procurement supportManage and close out long outstanding queries to minimise riskPrepare creditors reconsReview open PO ageingReview ageingProblem solving and timely decision makingMeeting monthly and yearly targets to optimise working capitalDaily management of creditors clerksFull accountability of all allocated accountsIdentifying opportunities to streamline processesDrive productivity and efficiency across all areas effecting the accountsDevelop and sustain routine ways of work
