Accounts Payable Supervisor

A vacancy exists in the Finance & Administration Department at our Head Office in CAPE TOWN for an Accounts Payable Supervisor reporting to the Finance Manager.The main purpose of the job is to manage the Accounts Payable function in accordance with Company policies and procedures and accounting standards.To meet set deadlines and make sure payments are made timeously to qualify for negotiated discounts.QUALIFICATIONSGrade 12 with accountingEXPERIENCE5 years creditors experience in FinanceProficient in MS OfficeProficient in specialised software packages (i.e. Syspro would be advantageous)KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare invoices for processing.Processing of invoicesManagement of Creditors ClerksPayment runs and ongoing automation of accounts payable reports.Importing creditors file to Nedbank Business for authorisationImplementing reporting procedures and internal controls for the purpose of maintaining accurate recordsReconciling of GRN suspense / stock ledger accountsPrinting of Trial balancesReconcile supplier statements to that of Trial BalancesProcessing of creditor payments for creditors on SysproSKILLS & CHARACTERISTICSGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenHave strong computer skills and knowledge of programs MS OfficeAttention to detail.Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure.Ability to multi-taskEnergetic and a team player
