POSITION STATUS: Permanent
Purpose of the job To process invoices andpayments of suppliers and service providers in accordance with the policies andprocedures of the organization; and to ensureadherence to the PFMA Act andNational Treasury Regulations.
Key Outputs:The successful candidate will report to the Supervisor: Accounts Payable; and their responsibilities will include: ? Ensuring that payments toservice providers areprocessed timeously. ? Following up on monthly payments and contract payments. ? Ensuring all invoices are paid as and whendue. ? Obtaining monthly statements at the end of every month. ? Preparing monthlygeneral ledger reconciliations. ? Ensuring allsupplier accounts and expense accounts are reviewed for compliance at month-end and year-end. ? Ensuring that all supplier accounts are up to date ? Assisting Internal Auditors andExternal Auditors with information when requested.
Qualifications and Experience: ? Accountingor Finance Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5). ? Accounting or Finance Degree (NQFLevel 7) will be an added advantage. ? Minimum 4 years' work experience in theFinance environment of which 2 years must be in accounts payable. ? Intermediateproficiency level in MS Excel will be an added advantage. ? Experience inworking on JDE will be an added advantage.
