What is the job: The successful Accounts Payable Lead will be an experienced, resilient AP specialist with a solid understanding of general ledger, bookkeeping, and accounts payable principles.
You will enjoy driving change and have a process improvement mindset.
You will be inquisitive and able to challenge the status quo, with experience using finance packages and Excel, strong numeracy skills, and excellent attention to detail.
What will be expected of you?
Lead the Accounts Payable team to meet their objectives Support internal teams and external suppliers with account queries Effective utilisation of the Accounts Payable team to continuously improve the payment process including automation where possible Coordinate the approval and posting of invoices in line with internal policy Preparation and checking of vendor reconciliations Reviewing and preparing supplier payment batches Assist with month-end close Assist Auditors with year-end audit Are you qualified?
B. Com Accounting degree or similar or Accounting Diploma coupled with minimum 5 years' experience in accounts payable Did you do this before?
3-5 years experience in Accounts Payable department (with a degree) will be advantageous or minimum 5 years experience if coupled with an Accounting Diploma Do you have what it takes?
