Accounts Officer Payroll Payables

We are seeking a detailoriented Accounts Officer specializing in Payroll and Payables to join our finance team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processing handling accounts payable functions and ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions related to employee compensation and vendor payments.
Tasks Key Responsibilities: Process payroll accurately and on time including calculating wages deductions and bonuses.
Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws labor laws and company policies regarding payroll.
Manage and process accounts payable including verifying invoices reconciling statements and handling payments.
Maintain accurate records of payroll and accounts payable transactions.
Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payroll or vendor payments.
Prepare and submit reports related to payroll and payables.
Assist with monthend and yearend financial closing processes.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Requirements Requirements: Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent with a qualification in accounting or finance (preferred).
Proven experience in payroll processing and accounts payable functions.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word) and accounting software (e.g.
Pastel QuickBooks).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
Good understanding of payroll regulations and accounts payable practices.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
