Affinity Services is on the lookout for a dynamic Accounts Clerk to join our team and ensure the smooth running of our financial operations. As part of our vibrant and growing organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial integrity of the company.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:

Data Entry & Record Keeping: Accurately enter and maintain financial data, including invoices, receipts, and payment records, ensuring all transactions are up-to-date.
Processing Transactions: Handle accounts payable and receivable by processing payments, ensuring timely invoice clearance, and reconciling discrepancies.
Reconciliation: Conduct regular bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Report Generation: Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and summaries to provide clear insights into financial performance.
Assist with Audits: Collaborate with external auditors and provide them with necessary financial information for smooth audit processes.
VAT & Tax Returns: Assist in preparing and submitting VAT and tax returns in compliance with South African regulations.
Expense Tracking: Monitor company expenses, ensuring they are recorded accurately and in line with budgets.
Communication: Liaise with suppliers and clients regarding payment inquiries and resolve any outstanding financial issues efficiently.

Requirements
Qualifications:

A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar accounts clerk role.
Solid knowledge of accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
Familiarity with South African financial regulations and tax laws is a plus.
Matric certificate is a must.
