Minimum requirements: Matric Diploma or bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field, with relevant experience SAQA accredited qualification At least 4 - 5 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting, preferably in a senior or supervisory role Proficient in SAP and Excel or Quick books Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations and payment processes Provide managerial support for the daily, weekly and monthly accounting functions Review and verify invoices and check requests and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Partner with procurement and purchasing teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and goods receipts Sort, code and match invoices, and enter them into the managerial accounting system Prepare and perform payment runs and monitor payment accounts and balances Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements, and research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues Assist with month-end closing and reporting activities, including reconciliations, accruals and prepare accounts payable aging reports Generate reports and provide financial analysis related to accounts payable activities Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal controls and participate in audits and process improvement initiatives Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes affecting accounts payable processes Should be able to interpret financial statements Should be able to do payroll administration a must Prepare reports on petty cash requests and payments made by management Assist in preparation of tender documents as and when required by management Assist in any other ancillary duties as and when required by management Consultant: Vonne Scholtz - Dante Personnel Pretoria Silver Lakes
