Main Duties and Responsibilities:Teaching and Facilitation:Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars for both online and in-person (contact) classes.Engage with students through interactive teaching methods to ensure a clear understanding of accounting concepts.Provide academic support and mentorship to students, including responding to queries and offering feedback on assignments.Curriculum Development:Develop and continuously improve course materials, including curricula, lesson plans, assignments, and other instructional resources.Ensure that teaching materials are aligned with industry standards and the evolving needs of the accounting profession.Collaboration and Research:Work collaboratively with other academics to enhance teaching methods and share best practices.Conduct research in the field of accounting and contribute to academic publications and conferences.Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to integrate them into course content.Assessment and Evaluation:Set, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations.Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic development.Maintain accurate records of student performance and report as required.Administrative Responsibilities:Serve on departmental committees and contribute to institutional governance.Participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions.Qualifications:Chartered Accountant (CA) or CTA certification.Completion of Articles.A minimum of five (5) years of lecturing experience in accounting or a related field.Working Hours:Normal Day: 8:00 AM 5:00 PMClasses:Weekday evenings: 5:00 PM 8:00 PM (online)Saturdays: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (as required)Skills and Competencies:Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to engage students and foster a positive learning environment.Experience with online teaching platforms and blended learning.Strong organizational and time-management skills.
