About the job Accounting ManagerOur client a well established Auditing and Accounting firm in Stellenbosch is seeking to employ an Accounting Manager.Salary R17 500-25 000 per month, depending on qualification and experienceMin Requirements2 years post SAIPA articles (Non Negotiable)BAcc, BCom Accounting, BCompt or equivalent degreeCompleted articles with a medium / small firm preferredWorking knowledge of CaseWare, Excel and WordKnowledge of accounting systems (Pastel, Sage, Xero)Must be willing to work overtime to meet client deadlines.Own transport and a valid drivers licenseAbility to work under pressure and meet strict deadlinesAbility to work independently and in a teamGood communication skills (English and Afrikaans)DutiesWriting up of more complex accounting records of clients on Pastel and XeroReview monthly bookkeeping / VAT of SAIPA TraineesReconcile Debtors and Creditors on a monthly basis and provide training for SAIPA Trainees to reconcile Debtors and CreditorsResponsible for calculating VAT, PAYE and other necessary SARS requirements on a monthly basisPreparation and Review of management accounts.Manage and supervise SAIPA staff to achieve set goalsProvide daily assistance, guidance and training with regards to bookkeeping, related taxes and SARS submissions to SAIPA TraineesPreparing accounting work relating to annual financial statementsPreparation and Review of financial statements.Performing independent reviews.Preparation and Review of tax returns.Reviewing work done by supervised staff before partner review, where applicableImplementation / evaluation of internal controls.Client interaction and relations.ATTENTION TO DETAIL VERY IMPORTANT!
