Accounting Manager

Our mission is to take the pain out of the process so you can focus on what you do best.We are currently looking for a skilled accountant to join our firm as the first recruit in South Africa.As the Financial Controller, you will be working in or around the Cape Town area and reporting to the Irish-based team. You will gain valuable experience working with international clients and have the opportunity to work in a remote setting.Ideal candidate:Passionate about corporate finance and ensuring financial accuracy.Enjoys interacting with clients and contributing to their business success through knowledge and insights.Possesses a strong understanding of accounting practices and is resourceful in finding solutions when needed.Excels in leadership roles, offering support and guidance to finance colleagues, and fostering their development.Seeks opportunities for growth, thrives on new challenges, and aims to excel in their role.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for managing a large portfolio of clients.Handle all accounting responsibilities, including annual submissions and balance sheet reconciliations.Ensure compliance with all SLAs in customer delivery.Maintain high standards of data quality set by finance colleagues.Identify and implement new operating methods and automation, keeping customer needs in mind.Manage client correspondence and build strong relationships within your portfolio.Provide exceptional service to our clients.Involved in hiring the South African team that will work under your supervision.Requirements and Experience:BCom / Bachelor of Accounting or similar degree.Qualified Professional Accountant (SA)AGA (SA) with relevant experience will also be considered6 - 7 years of total experienceExperience working with lots of clients will be beneficialXero guruSalary:R42 000 - R55 000 per month (CTC) // R500 000 - R650 000 per annum
