The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for supporting the financial operations by performing a variety of accounting duties. This includes processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent attention to detail.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers and journals.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
Handle data entry for financial transactions and manage electronic and paper filing systems.
Assist in preparing payroll and maintaining employee records.
Provide support during audits and assist with budget preparation as needed.
Respond to accounting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar accounting role.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
