Accounting Assistant

An established manufacturing company is looking for an ambitious and experienced Accounting Assistant.Full Time | R15 000 - R20 000 basic pm | JHB / AlbertonJob Purpose:To provide administrative, clerical, and professional support to the accounting team by performing bookkeeping and related financial tasks.Responsibilities and Duties:Processing and maintaining cashbooksPreparing and reconciling creditors' accountsGenerating and compiling monthly rental invoices and statementsRecording and confirming payments based on rental lease agreementsAnalyzing water and electricity accounts for landlords and tenantsHandling monthly intercompany transactionsEnsuring accurate use of General Ledger (GL) and vendor accounts when processing invoicesAssisting with month-end stock verification and gross profit (%) analysisInvestigating and addressing relevant queries and requestsPerforming additional ad-hoc tasks as requiredRequired Skills and Competencies:Proficiency in MS ExcelStrong administrative skillsExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesKeen attention to detailStrong reconciliation skillsHigh levels of integrity and honestyKnowledge of General Ledger (GL) systemsDeadline-driven with effective time management skillsStrong numerical abilitiesSelf-motivated with a proactive approachRequired Qualifications and Experience:Grade 12 with a Certificate/Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a related field5-8 years of related experiencePastel experience is essentialBackground in the manufacturing industry is an advantageThis position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team in a supportive environment.
