Accounting Assistant

As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to the Accounting department and assisting with various accounting tasks specific to the defense industry. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in accounting within the defense sector and further develop their skills.ResponsibilitiesAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks specific to the defense industryPrepare and process invoices and payment requests for defense-related projectsReconcile bank statements and credit card statements for defense contractsAssist with month-end and year-end closing procedures for defense-related financialsHelp maintain accurate and organized financial records for defense projectsAssist with payroll processing and reconciliation within the defense sectorPerform general administrative tasks as needed, with a focus on defense-related activitiesRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in an accounting role is a plusBasic knowledge of accounting principles and practicesProficient in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesKnowledge of defense industry accounting regulations and procedures is a plusBenefitsSalary: R17 500,00 - R20 000 per monthContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
