An established manufacturing company is looking for an ambitious and experienced Accounting Assistant Full Time | R15 000 - R20 000 basic pm | JHB / Alberton ob Title: Accounting Assistant Job Purpose : To provide administrative, clerical, and professional support to the accounting team by performing bookkeeping and related financial tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties : Processing and maintaining cashbooks Preparing and reconciling creditors' accounts Generating and compiling monthly rental invoices and statements Recording and confirming payments based on rental lease agreements Analyzing water and electricity accounts for landlords and tenants Handling monthly intercompany transactions Ensuring accurate use of General Ledger (GL) and vendor accounts when processing invoices Assisting with month-end stock verification and gross profit (%) analysis Investigating and addressing relevant queries and requests Performing additional ad-hoc tasks as required Required Skills and Competencies : Proficiency in MS Excel Strong administrative skills Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Keen attention to detail Strong reconciliation skills High levels of integrity and honesty Knowledge of General Ledger (GL) systems Deadline-driven with effective time management skills Strong numerical abilities Self-motivated with a proactive approach Required Qualifications and Experience : Grade 12 with a Certificate/Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a related field 5-8 years of related experience Pastel experience is essential Background in the manufacturing industry is an advantage This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team in a supportive environment.
