Our client, operating in the wine industry, has a position available for an on-site Accountant with excellent problem-solving and good communication skills, paired with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

The role will be based on the farm situated in Voor-Paardeberg, Paarl.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the accounting functions of both the farm and hospitality section. Duties will include: *Participating in day-to-day operational activities in the admin, finance and hospitality departments *Providing support to Head of Finance and team in all accounting practices *Handling a variety of financial tasks ensuring trial balance is ready/reconciled for financial reporting *Accurate monthly reporting, monthly reconciliations and transaction tracking *Assisting with budget forecasting preparation and support *Providing assistance to Head of Finance with the preparation of financial statements *Asset register maintenance *all administrative functions related to the position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience
• Diploma/Degree in Accounting;
• Minimum 5 years' relevant accounting experience within the wine & hospitality industry;
• Excellent computer proficiency (MSOffice, Xero, Vinsight, Lightspeed MarketMan, SharePoint);
• Accurate and transparent approach to work;
• Good knowledge of SARS legislation and statutory submissions;
• Own reliable transport.
