Details of the offer

Join one of South Africa's leading Independant FSP's as an Accountant . The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Finance within the company in order to ensure that it is operating as efficiently as possible. This Accountant monitors, analyzes, and evaluates the financials of the company in order to make informed and calculated decisions.
Key responsibilities:


Account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, monthly reporting, tax
reporting, and preparation of budgets.
Prepare Monthly Accounts on Pastel for three companies
Prepare VAT for the three companies and submit to SARS
Analyse and upload all commission statements to Commspace system
Track all commission
Reconcile and load all ad hoc payments as well as monthly payments for authorisation
Manage Petty cash
Prepare Invoices
Calculate Referral commission
Auditing of New Business, Switches, Offshore Redemptions
Year End Audit management
Manage maintenance of the building

Key performance measures:

Meet all deadlines timeously
All work is completed accurately with attention to detail
Be able to think strategically and analyze the business in order to identify opportunities for improvement.
Finance Director is kept fully appraised and regularly updated
Communication and follow up
Timeously and in a professional manner, communication (i.e. face to face, by email or telephonically) relating to all areas of responsibility pertaining to the role, including document sending and follow ups

Administrators
Other professional advisors e.g. Attorneys and Accountants
Clients
Paraplanner Team Members
Product providers

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field with experience

Experience

Proven experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
