Accountant: Treasury

This position will be responsible to effectively manage & administer the entire treasury function.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Manager: Revenue & Treasury and will be part of a structured Finance team. The role manages the Treasury Clerks & Administrator.
We're a fully in-office team. This role is based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.
JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
KNOWLEDGE required:

Knowledge of banks & financial institutions
Ability to identify risks in financial processes
Excellent knowledge of cash flow policies and practices
Knowledge relating to foreign currency transactions and the financial accounting thereof will be an advantage.

SKILLS required:

Ability to work under pressure
High Levels of computer literacy – advanced Excel
Attention to detail
Deadline driven
Excellent time management, planning & organising skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Performing detailed financial analysis & forecasting
Problem solving

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Essential:

Minimum 3 years' experience in financial processes within a finance environment.
Minimum 2 years' experience in people management.

Preferred:

Retail experience will be an advantage.
Experience in forex & treasury management will be an advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Essential:

B Comm or equivalent financial qualification

Preferred:

B Comm (Hons)
Articles of financial clerkship completed or in progress
