Accountant (Tax / Financial Statement Focus)

An Accounting firm in Knysna is looking for an Accountant to join their team.
This position will be hybrid and requires candidates to reside in the Garden Route area.This role will be focused on assisting clients with compilations of financial statements and / or independent reviews of financial statements and income tax calculationsResponsibilitiesReceive trial balance and supporting documents from the client Compile annual financial statements for companies and CCs based on IFRS for SMEs using DraftworxUnderstand Trusts and be able to compile Trust Annual Financial StatementsFull function accounting knowledgeCalculating & submitting VAT returnsKnowledge of Payroll and submission of EMP201s & EMP501sRequirements:Minimum 5 yrs accounting experiencePrevious working experience in an accounting firmBCOM degreeComputer literate on Draftworx & XeroExperience in Greatsoft to process and manage all tax returns and keep record of timeCandidate skills:Ability to work under pressureAbility to work as part of a teamGreat communication skills (Afrikaans & English)Great time management & self disciplineDriver's licenseExcellent planning & forecasting mindsetSalary:R20k - R35kPlease note that only candidates with the required experience will be considered and contacted.
