Leolo and Partners Chartered Accountants - Financial AccountantLeolo and Partners Chartered Accountants is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to assist the Company Finance Manager and join our Finance Department. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and expertise in accounting principles, with a preference for those with HR administration experience.This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial accounting and the ability to support the Company Finance Manager in various tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations within the company.Duties & ResponsibilitiesReporting Line: Reports to the Company Finance ManagerResponsibilities:Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Financial Reporting on Sage Accounting:Utilize Sage Accounting software to prepare financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data for reporting purposes.Payroll:Process payroll accurately and on time, including calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes.Handle payroll queries and issues from employees in a timely manner.SARS Account Management Experience:Manage interactions with the South African Revenue Service (SARS), including tax filings, queries, and audits.Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines, including VAT and PAYE.Assist in the preparation of tender applications, providing financial documentation and budgetary information as required.Collaborate with relevant departments to compile comprehensive and compliant tender submissions.Budgeting and Forecasting:Support the Company Finance Manager in developing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to support decision-making.HR Administration:Assist with HR administrative tasks, including employee onboarding, record maintenance, and benefits administration.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to employment laws and regulations.Tax Returns Submission:Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and within specified deadlines.Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.Time Management:Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and objectives.Manage workload efficiently, balancing routine responsibilities with ad hoc tasks and projects.Statutory Compliance:Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations and reporting requirements.Stay updated on changes in legislation and advise management on necessary actions to maintain compliance.Desired Experience & QualificationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance (Non-negotiable).Minimum 2 years experience in the role (Non-negotiable).Proven experience in financial accounting roles, with knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.Proficiency in Sage Accounting software and other relevant accounting tools.Experience in payroll processing, tax compliance, and financial reporting.Familiarity with tender application processes, budgeting/forecasting techniques, and HR administration.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Available to start on 2 May 2024.Package & RemunerationTBD
