Accountant (Retail) (Ch1005)

Our client, a Franchisee for a well-known and popular Fast-food brand, is looking for an Accountant to join their team at their Head office in Kuils River, Cape Town.Responsibilities:Maintain Fixed Asset register, new builds, revamps & scrappingTo process and reconcile:DebtorsCreditors – allocation/coding (capturing done by Creditors team)Cashbook and Petty CashJournals – Monthly; Payroll; DepreciationBookkeeping up to Trial balanceManagement Accounts – preparation, corroboration & follow upVATSalary and WagesCredit cardsAssist with coordination and planning of the annual budget processMaintenance of beneficiaries list on banking systemCreating paymentsDaily bank deposits reconciliation and follow-up, cash trackingMaintain monthly audit filesFood cost corroboration & follow up REQUIREMENTS: QualificationsComm, B. Comm Hons, CIMA; orSAIPA qualification or University degree with Article experience Experience & Skills – Required:3-5 years Bookkeeping / Accounting experienceProficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience in Sage EvolutionFluent in EnglishValid drivers licenceExperience & Skills – Advantageous:Experience with GAAP Retail Office / Point of SaleExperience in the FMCG (restaurant) industry General:Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
