Responsibilities:Create ad-hoc reports for various business needsPrepare tax documentsCompile and analyse financial statementsManage budgeting and forecastingEnsure General ledger inputs are accurateMaintain and control assets registersPrepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsPosting of Journal entriesCommunicating with accounts staff in resolving all queries, overseeing finance clerksFinancial planning and budgetingMonitoring budget performanceRisk managementBalance sheet managementPrepare all Nominal ledger/trial balance reconciliations monthlyPrepare monthly management packsEffective utilization, management, and control of resourcesImplement and sustain effective financial systems and controlsInternal audit functionPrepare year end audit filesRequirements:Bachelors degree in accounting or related fieldAbility to interpret and analyse financial statements and periodicalsFluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Completion of articles will be an advantageAt least 5 years prior experience in an accountant roleStrong business acumen and interpersonal skillsAnalytical mind with the ability to problem-solveWillingness to travelDue to the high volume of applications received, only suitable candidates who meet the criteria of this vacancy will be contacted.
