Accountant PositionYour client, an accounting firm, is currently seeking the services of an Accountant to join their offices in Durbanville.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforming customer accounts on XeroPreparation of monthly management accountsPreparation of annual financial statementsPreparation of month-end and year-end reconciliationsLiaising with customers regarding their business and assisting them in making financial decisionsManagement of annual audits (where applicable)Payroll processingBi-annual employer reconciliationsWorkman's compensation and RMA submissionsCalculations of provisional tax and income tax (companies and individuals)Submissions of VAT201, EMP201, ITR14, ITR12, IRP6Other administrative tasksDesired Experience & QualificationAccounting DegreeCompleted SAIPA/SAICA/CIMA articlesGood understanding of financial accounting and taxation with practical experience with:SARSSystems and processesEMP501 reconciliationsProvisional tax calculationsDrafting of AFS and year-end processes, working papers, and journalsAdvanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software Xero and Market PlaceExperience in managing a team of 1 – 2 team members/clerksExperience in reviewing management accounts, financial statements, and financial/SARS letters, as well as client communication, interfacing, and meetingsExcellent written and spoken skillsAbility to give advice and trust own judgmentExcellent planning and organizing skillsResponsible and deadline-drivenTime management abilitiesAfrikaans and English proficientPackage & RemunerationMarket Related
