Minimum Requirements:Minimum 4 to 6 years' experience in a cost accounting environment, of which 2 years must be in a manufacturing environment (Essential) and 4 years should be at managerial level.Requirements:B Comm (Hons) AccountingCIMACompleted articlesKnowledge and Skills:Financial Systems and ProceduresEnterprise Resource PlanningManufacturing in a process costing environmentVariance analysis of standard costingPlanning and OrganisingProblem SolvingApplying Expertise and TechnologyDuties:To develop, implement and maintain the standard process costing system including policies and procedures.To develop, implement, maintain and ensure the accuracy of the bill of materials and individual costing.To analyse the variances against standards including reasons and develop action plans.To conduct monthly cost meetings with Production in order to highlight variances and reasons thereof.To ensure accurate stock valuation, including raw materials, work in progress, cost of sales and the valuation of waste.To revalue stock from standard to actual at financial year-end.To maintain the integrity of the inventory and production modules in the ERP system.To facilitate the monthly inventory count and reconciliation to the inventory.To provide business with relevant information, as and when required.Analyse on a monthly basis production variance and prepare commentary for the monthly management accounts.
