First prize is an experienced Accountant who comes from a manufacturing concern and who has been responsible for stockDuties & ResponsibilitiesTo reconcile and control the various types of stocksPerform regular stock reviews and analysis to ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.Ensure that inventory valuation and product cost transactions impacting financial reports are monitored, controlled, and posted to the inventory ledger and general ledger.Review and finalise purchase orders to verify correct quantities, prices, and supplier information.Preparation of journals for manual Manufacturing stock accounting entries. Conduct reconciliations for Manufacturing stock accounts against sub-ledger data and identify variances for resolution. Determine the appropriate resolution for Manufacturing stock variances in collaboration with the manufacturing accounting team.Initiate variance resolution with the appropriate stakeholder groups and monitor resolution of variances.Escalate inconsistent, inaccurate, or incomplete transactions for resolution. Prepare adjusting journals for entries that require correction.
