Provide tax planning advice to reduce tax liabilities.Audit Assistance: Facilitate and support internal and external audit processes, ensuring all financial practices comply with statutory and corporate policies.Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, financial risks, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.Cash Management: Manage cash flow to ensure optimal liquidity for operational needs.Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations. Implement and monitor financial controls.Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information and advice to management, shareholders, and other stakeholders.Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A postgraduate qualification or certification (such as CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is highly advantageous.Proven working experience as an accountant or in a relevant financial role.Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Experience with financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.Knowledge of South African tax laws and compliance requirements.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.Ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear manner.WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:Accountants in South Africa can expect a fast-paced environment, particularly during financial year-end or tax season.Depending on the industry, travel may be required.Ongoing professional development is often encouraged and sometimes sponsored by employers to stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and best practices.PACKAGE & REMUNERATION:Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, applicable experience, and previous earnings.
