We are listed on the regulated Euronext market in Paris since July 2014.For our South African office in Cape Town, we are looking for an Accountant who will have the following responsibilities:Finance:Perform general duties including, but not limited to, data entry, petty cash management, assist on bank reconciliation;Analyze and book invoices to be completed for payment;Manage cash flow;Ensure that local accounting is accurate and in line with current IFRS standards and local legislation;Be in daily contact with the departments to ensure PO's and request of payment are consistent with Group policy and procedures to ensure accuracy;Support month-end and year-end close process;Assist the proper control of the supporting documents for payments and financial reports, payment execution and monitoring payment status;Provide administrative support in documentation of accounting processes and all other accounting documentation;Liaise with service providers for accounting, tax and payroll;Ensure compliance with various local tax obligations i.e. VAT, PAYE, Income tax submissions and payments;Liaise with both Internal and External Auditors;Interpret and implement the Group's procedures and rules related to administrative, procurement, financial and personnel matters and ensure their compliance;Assist other staff with any accounting or financial support relating to the projects being undertaken by the Voltalia Group;Perform ad-hoc work or support as required by Manager(s).Administrative: Maintenance of files and records relevant to corporate secretary.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field;Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar role;Knowledge and experience in administrative, financial accounting and full range of office support work, with a high level of sustained performance;South African national or valid work permit for South Africa;Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of other local languages and French is a plus.KEY SKILLS:Self-starter, quick learner, takes initiative and ownership, eager to learn new things.Strong written and verbal skills, as well as effective communication.Excellent skills in MS Office programs;Team player.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Capacity to manage and prioritize time and multiple tasks efficiently, especially when operating under pressure or deadlines;Willing to receive and accept feedback, as well as giving constructive criticism to peers.BUSINESS LINE: Geography Finance - International DevelopmentCONTRACT TYPE: Permanent ContractLOCATION: South Africa, Cape TownSTARTING DATE: Jan 25
