JOB PURPOSE: · Responsible for managing all divisional accounting operations and coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances · Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assist with financial records in accurate and effective manner in accordance with accounting standards and procedures. · Comply with internal controls that ensure accurate record keeping and the safeguarding of assets. · Ensure accuracy of reporting including correct cost allocations. · Implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations, legislation and changes in IFRS. · Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies. · Identify, recommend solutions and implement improvements to processes and procedures including appropriate documentation. · Facilitate effective cost measurement and control. · Assist with financial analysis and insight for consideration in decision-making. · Assist with analysis and management accounting reporting to aid decision-making, new business acquisition, pricing and profitability reviews. · Assist with the client level Cash Flows, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Reporting, Management Packs, Budgets, Forecasts and Audit. Financial Reporting. · Must be able to understand and apply IFRS. · Prepare and Review balance sheet recons. · Ensure that the principles of good corporate governance are applied at all times. · Assist with clean and effective annual audit. · Draft & present monthly Branch Reporting. · Effective and timeous production of internal monthly reporting at all levels required. · Assist with submissions for Monthly Review Pack. · Budgeting, Forecasting and Annual Business plan. · Assist with a full bottom-up budget and consolidate into the divisions annual business plan. · Highlight risks in respect of the achievement of the business plan. · Implement internal control and risk management framework within agreed risk parameters. · Manage the companys risk exposure through identification and maintenance of risk control measures to minimize liability. · Monitor and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures. JOB RELATED REQUIREMENTS: · Grade 12/ Matric. · Bachelor of Commerce in Finance/ Accounting or equivalent. · Chartered Accountant (SA).
