Accountant (JB4277)Location: Northern Suburbs, Cape TownSalary: R30 - 32 000 per monthType: PermanentA financial and tax services company that specializes in business valuation, tax compliance, planning, financial reporting, and financial training is seeking an Accountant to join their team.Minimum Requirements:3 to 5 years minimum experience in financial accounting and audit.Suitable professional qualification and membership of an accounting body is preferred.Experience with Draftworx or similar is required.Duties & Responsibilities:Planning and agreeing year plan for annual financial reporting deadlines with the Financial Accountant.Providing guidance and advice on all financial accounting, independent review, and audit requirements.Investigating queries from staff and clients regarding the application of IFRS.Ensuring all financial reports for sole proprietors, partnerships, close corporations, trusts, and companies are completed within statutory deadlines.Providing commentaries to clients to back up the financial statements.Managing routine financial accounting matters through meetings and communication with clients.Dealing with queries and conducting research on accounting compliance.Reviewing and/or preparing management reports and cash flow forecasts where required.Timekeeping and invoicing clients for work done.Writing accountant letters for clients on various items, e.g., Company Solvency.Following up with clients to ensure Annual Financial Statements are accepted and finalized before annual income tax returns can be filed.Attending workshops/seminars to obtain required CPD points and stay up to date with legislative changes.Desired Experience & Qualification:3 to 5 years minimum experience in financial accounting and audit.Suitable professional qualification and membership of an accounting body is preferred.Experience with Draftworx or similar is required.Package & Remuneration:Location: Northern Suburbs, Cape TownSalary: R30 - 32 000 per monthType: Permanent
