Accountant

Careserv(PTY)LTD is looking for a dynamic accountant with full-function accounting experience to join our team in Somerset West. The role requires an energetic, self-motivated person who works well in a team.
This person should be organised, have attention to detail, be able to multitask, manage deadlines, and communicate well with others.
Responsibilities and duties include (but are not limited to):

Various accounting functions using Xero Accounting software
Assisting with Bank/Ledger/Customer/Supplier Reconciliations
Accounting up to Trial balance
Taking control of the full month-end process
Assisting and dealing with year-end queries
Taking control of and assisting with year-end audit and financial statement preparation
Preparation of monthly management accounts and other associated reports
Monthly Payroll processing and administration from staff file management to payslips
EMP201 submissions
EMP501 Recon and IRP5 generation
Fixed assets management
Assisting CFO with budgets
VAT reconciliations and submissions
Provisional tax calculation
Ad hoc reconciliations & reports when needed
Journals – Monthly & Ad-hoc
Workflow Management

Candidate Requirements:

Accounting Degree
Experience in filing Statutory Returns
Experience with management accounts
Skilled in Excel
Working under pressure and time management
Experience with Xero will be beneficial
Experience with Payspace will be beneficial
Proficiency in English
Minimum 3 years experience

Education:

Diploma/Degree (Preferred)

License/Certification:

SAIPA or similar member registration (Preferred)
SAICA member registration (Preferred)

Pay: R18000,00 - R20000,00 per month
