Job DescriptionRed Ember Recruitment is recruiting for an Account for a client based in Cape Town.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.Cost Control: Analyze costs against budget and prior year figures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure the validity of expenditures.Tax Compliance: Manage VAT, EMP201, and Excise submissions, and ensure compliance with SARS regulations.Supplier Management: Oversee complex invoice capturing, supplier reconciliations, and payment processes.Cash Control & Banking: Manage electronic bank payments, foreign payments, petty cash, and cash deposits.Procurement & Stock Control: Ensure effective procurement practices and accurate stock management.Payroll Management: Review and approve payroll registers, assist with payroll submissions, and ensure accurate payroll journal entries.Fixed Assets & Accounts Receivable: Maintain fixed asset registers, manage customer invoices, and ensure debtors' accounts are reconciled.Budgeting & External Audit: Assist with annual budgeting and preparation for external audits.RequirementsFinancial Degree/Diploma (SAIPA Professional Accountant is an advantage).Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in the hospitality, tourism, or property sector.Advanced proficiency in MS Office and financial accounting systems (e.g., Sage Evolution, Protel PMS).Strong knowledge of VAT legislation and financial reporting standards.
