MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBCom Degree is requiredMinimum 3 years' proven experience in accountingPastel accounting experiencePackhouse experience will be an advantageSKILLS & COMPTETENCIES REQUIREDEffective handling of detailed information and consistent attention to detailExcellent Analytical SkillsMust be able to perform calculations and prepare detailed reportsMust be able to work with little supervision and track multiple processesKEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Accurate and timely processing of transaction on Pastel (Financial leases, Loans and other)Weekly cashflow management and payments preparationEnsure that correct procedures are followed for statutory reporting, completions of documents, submission and timeous payments, i.e., VAT, EMP201Calculate and evaluate monthly bill of material and monitor stock control proceduresMonthly invoicing to producers, reconciliation and Accounts Receivable managementBi-Weekly Pay-out of advances, final, local and Woolworths payments received on behalf of producersCompile and trace data throughout a packhouse systemBuild reports and/or data extracts to support business analysisEnsure packhouse data reconcile to trail balance (producer accounts / inventory / wholesale)Forecast and analyse producer incomeOversee Account Payable, ensure correct allocation and manage finance clerkMonthly budget vs actual reportingParticipate in the preparation of annual budgetsAssist with preparation of financial statements and annual external auditONLY short-listed candidates will be contacted
