Accountant

An established and unique wine estate in the Paarl region, is seeking the assistance of an Accountant. In this role you will report to the Senior Accountant, be responsible for preparing and finalising monthly sales and budgets. You will support the Senior Accountant with various other tasks and assist the Financial Manager with developing financial and management reports. Responsibilities: Input information into prepared templates for Management accountsUpdate and audit budget schedules monthly Reconcile balances to accounting systemsEnsure subledger/external data balance to TB and management reportsPrepare yearly audit for all entities Assist auditors with audit, ensure all queries are handled efficientlyPre monthly review and journal entries Reconcile all CDS sales slips on automated system Reconcile restaurant bulk invoices from pilot Balance restaurant payments received, resolve any differences Receive and reconcile monthly member payments Manage bulk invoices Review and post credit notes Run month end proceduresFollow up on outstanding debtorsPrepare weekly debtors reports Requirements: Must have a financial or management accounting qualification Must have 3 years' experience in a Accountant role, previous experience in financial accounting principles and practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills (both English and Afrikaans)Please note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
