Accountant

Job Title: Accountant Location: City of Cape Town, Cape Town, Bellville Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Primary Industry: Accounting Secondary Industry: Accounting Job Duties: Prepare financial statements and reports for management Assist in budget preparation and analysis Manage accounts payable and receivable Conduct reconciliations of bank statements and general ledgers Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards Required Qualifications: A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) Proven experience in a similar accounting role Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practises Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and interpersonal abilities Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification Working Conditions: Office-based role with occasional overtime required May involve some travel for meetings or training Expected to work standard office hours
